Here are just some of the great Chattanooga area Fall festivities (and a day trip) to put on your Fall 2026 bucket list:
Sept 18 - Oct 31
Rock City’s Enchanted Pumpkin Patch, Chattanooga
This is their second annual, and they don’t just get their decorations from Amazon — they have a group of artists who make them! Plus, driving up Lookout Mountain when the leaves are popping is breathtaking
Sept 27
Ironman, Chattanooga
It’s an honor for a city to host a full Ironman, and Chattanooga does it up right! If you’re looking to capture some of the energy from this megawatt day, post up along the route, at a patio bar, or at the finish line and soak it all up!
October 2-4
Small Town America Festival, Dunlap
This musical gem is like stepping back in time, and it’s only 15 minutes from Why Not
October 2-3
3 Sisters Bluegrass Festival, Chattanooga
This FREE and fab festival gets the talent (we saw Green Sky Blue Grass two years ago)! And it’s right on the TN river.
October 17-18
Oktoberfest at the Chattanooga Market
This is their 25th year for beers, polkas, and brats! Fun fact — The Wurstbrats (the band pictured) played at our Oktoberfest-themed wedding reception. Best day ever!
Saturdays, Oct 10-31
Fun for the whole family!
They also have a 21 + Halloween Party on 10/30 — Frights and Pints!
Anytime!
Dumplings, Drafts, and a Dramatic Hike
Did you see my last blog post about this fab-o day trip in Dayton, TN? It’s a 40-minute drive from Chattanooga and from Why Not. Highly recommend!
